Background

Telefonica Movistar contacts us for the conceptual development of the furnishings of Autoservicio Mi Movistar in the area of expertise of the client in Movistar Service Centers.

This project for furnishings of Autoservicio Mi Movistar, presented us with the following goals and challenges:

  • Design for the area of expertise modular exhibition furnishings of Mi Movistar self-services, as well as the 811 Call Center, to be installed in the Service Centers.
  • Document in blueprints and renders, the constructive details of the family of the furnishings.
  • Design concept of architecture, furnishings, detail engineering and calculation of a Service Center.
  • Define distribution of spaces or layout of the fittings of the MiMovistar family for walls and islands.
  • Incorporate in the environment of the Self-Service area a communications systems and an advertising circuit.
  • Guarantee that the setting-up of the furnishings, displays and graphic design is flexible enough to satisfy a variety of configurations and conditions of the local market.
  • Guarantee a Construction Guide or final Documentation of the architecture and furnishings easy to apply for its effective use in the long run.

Solution

A diagnosis of the present situation was made of the areas of expertise of the client.  A flowchart was designed where the client’s and Movistar’s actions were determined, in relation with the client, in terms of approximation, orientation, interaction, comparison and purchase.

Based on the previous diagnosis, a set of furnishings was designed consisting of 2 elements (Walls and Islands), taking into consideration criteria of modularity, flexibility, ergonomics and optimization of materials.

The proposal developed achieved the desired goals:

  • Highlight Autoservicio Mi Movistar and 811.
  • Increase the number of self-service stations within the areas of expertise of Movistar Service Centers.
  • A set of modular, flexible, furnishings was designed, easily adaptable to the different sizes of the self-service areas, with space for equipment and devices: PCs, portable, tablet, or phone.
  • Monitors were incorporated to facilitate the instructions of use and communication of the advantages of Mi Movistar and 811, with the added advantage that they can also be used as an advertising circuit.
